TS DÆMON
April-October 2025
The 23rd Samarbeta artist is one of Scotland's most innovative queer artists TS DÆMON (FKA Shrek 666).
Developed during a series of Samarbeta residencies, this project will see TS DÆMON take on their most ambitious artwork to date. No Silence, No Saints is an immersive theatre production that merges live music, technology and radical queer performance art to create a multisensory, multi-narrative portrayal. At its core, the project is a collaborative space to amplify trans* voices—specifically those of trans* sex workers.
Through residencies in Sheffield, Glasgow, Salford & Ynys Môn, TS DÆMON builds on a sustainable and intersectional collaboration practice, working with trans* and QTIPOC artists spanning music, dance and immersive technology to create sensory-reactive visual creation. Through audiovisual, the body, and trans* (be)comings, they will interrogate trans*masculinity, desire, embodiment and patriarchal representation systems inspired by Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed and the work of his contemporaries. Blurring distinctions of fact, fetish, fiction, and fantasy, crafting radical sensorial experiences that challenge dominant narratives and reimagine new possibilities.
Funded by the immersive Arts ‘Experiment’ fund, these residencies will give TS DÆMON time to explore live music production, laser mapping, projection, sound and motion-reactive technologies, all through the lens of the ever-shifting spectacle of trans* politics and experiences.
The premiere of No Silence, No Saints will be shown as a work in progress as part of FaT OuT 2025. More details coming soon.
