Samarbeta residency no. 20 will be a collaboration between alternative hip hop pioneer, rapper/producer Will Brooks AKA MC Dälek; and legendary This Heat drummer & composer Charles Hayward.
Our first ever residency was with Charles, so it feels very fitting to have him back for our 20th… this time in a one-off transatlantic partnership.
Growing up in different generations and on different sides of the Atlantic, Charles Hayward and MC Dälek will be coming together to explore space, cubism and lyricism; to create a place of coexistence between New Jersey and South East London. They’ll also be investigating extreme low ends and high ends of electronics, vocals, and how drums occupy the space in between.
