Wilf is an award winning musical artist and music therapist from a background heavily involved in visual arts, theatrical and choreographic practices.
Their compositions are celebrations of communities, the people which inhabit them and the spaces in which they grow. They work with non-musicians, developing public performance and composition which strives to share the effects music can offer.
Their work has been about people.
They continue to develop their practice using new technologies to expand and explore the tonal realms within which they work, continuing to experiment with modern compositional form; treading a line between contemporary and classical compositional styles.
Wilf has toured internationally in Australia, Iceland, India, Japan, Sweden and extensively throughout the UK.
Ben Hauke treats records by scratching them, snapping them, sticking them back together and putting them under the stylus. Ben’s approach to music production has always incorporated record sampling and when he discovered ways of scoring on to the records, much like one would score drum patterns into a drum machine, he chose to research the approach further.
